An Honours degree from National University is more than just a qualification—it opens doors to higher studies and career opportunities. This year, a group-wise admission test system has been introduced. Separate tests will be conducted for the Science, Business Studies, and Humanities groups, each with its own requirements and format.

Admission Test Details

• The test will follow a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format.
• Duration: 60 minutes.
• Total Marks: 200 (based on the admission test score, 40% of the SSC GPA, and 60% of the HSC GPA).

Application Process

Merit List and Admission

Eligibility Criteria Of Filling Out the Application Form

To apply for an Honours program at National University, you must meet certain requirements related to citizenship, education, and GPA. These ensure that only qualified candidates are considered for admission.

• You must have completed your Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C) or an equivalent exam in 2023 or 2024.
• You must have completed your Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C) or an equivalent exam in 2021 or 2022.

If you’ve completed O-Level and A-Level exams, here’s what you need:

• You must have passed at least four subjects in the 2021/2022 O-Level exam, with at least three subjects having a ‘B’ grade.
• You must have passed at least two subjects in the 2023/2024 A-Level exam, with at least one subject having a ‘B’ grade.
• You must meet other eligibility conditions as well.

How to Apply for National University Honours Admission 

Before you begin filling out the form, make sure you have the following information ready:

• Secondary and Higher Secondary Roll Numbers
• Registration Numbers
• Education Board Name
• Passing Years
• Registered Mobile Number (This can be your personal number or your guardian’s number).

Application Fee and Photo Upload:

• The application fee is 700 Taka.
• You can pay the fee via mobile banking or direct payment, following your college’s instructions.
• You must upload a recent passport-sized color photo that meets the required size and format.
• After submitting your application, you need to pay the application fee.
• Your college must confirm your application by March 4, 2025.

Step To Step Guide:

1. Visit the Official Website: Go to nu.ac.bd/admissions.
2. Click on the “Apply Now” Option: Find it under the Honours tab.
3. Fill in Your Information: Enter your secondary and higher secondary roll numbers, registration numbers, education board, passing years, and registered mobile number.
4. Upload Your Photo: Make sure your photo meets the specified requirements.
5. Submit the Application: After filling in all the details and uploading your photo, submit the application form.

After filling out the form with the correct information and photo, the applicant must click the “Submit Application” option. The Application ID and PIN code will appear, and the applicant must download and print the form on A4 (8.5”×11”) white paper or save it as a PDF.

The applicant must check all the details and photos in the initial application form. If there are any mistakes or incorrect photos, they should be corrected. To make changes, the applicant needs to go to the “Applicant Login” option, enter the Application ID and PIN, and click the “Click to Generate the Security Key” option. This will send an OTP to the applicant’s mobile number. With this OTP, the applicant can cancel the form and fill it out again with the correct details and photo. Note that the applicant can only cancel the initial form once. After the college confirms the application, it cannot be canceled.

The applicant must sign the printed application form in the designated area and add the date. The signed form and the 700 Taka application fee must be submitted to the relevant college, either via mobile banking or direct payment, as instructed by the college. The college will confirm the application and notify the applicant via SMS.
